Current Consultations for 2021:
Our Proposed District Plan: Have your say
The Central Hawke's Bay District Plan contains objectives, policies and rules that help us sustainably manage adverse effects on the environment. It primarily addresses land use and subdivision activities in the district.
Councils are required to prepare a District Plan under the Resource Management Act 1991. The Central Hawke's Bay District Plan (also called the Operative District Plan) is nearly 20 years old and it’s time for a plan that reflects who we are today and our aspirations for the future.
We started reviewing the Central Hawkes Bay District Plan in 2017. The Proposed District Plan was notified on 28 May 2021. The submission period was open until 6 August 2021. Now that we have received submissions, we are moving on to the next stages in the District Plan process and calling for further submissions.
